Production & Computer Services Department

The Bangor Daily News is committed to product and service excellence.  Over its long history, the newspaper has grown from a business that once used hot lead and linotype machines, to a day of modern technology where flexography presses produce a clean and crisp printed product, showcasing timely editorial, compelling photography and superior graphics, and important marketing messages from area businesses.  The majority of the newsprint the NEWS purchases contains recycled fiber, and its water-based printing ink is environmentally safe.  Waste cardboard, ink, wash water and newsprint are recycled.

Each year the Bangor Daily News garners numerous awards for the quality of its work from state, regional and national industry organizations.  It is frequently recognized for its contributions in the area of news and sports reporting, photography, printing, graphic design, advertising displays, and its website, bangordailynews.com
