Our office in the Bangor Daily News newsroom is a busy place on Mondays and Tuesdays, when we lay out and finalize Greater Bangor’s Weekly Community News Source. The rest of the week, we continue to gather the community news, school items, columns and other features that go into each issue of 58,000 copies — the third-largest newspaper in the state. The Weekly is actually printed on Wednesday mornings, and nearly 30,000 copies are inserted in Thursday’s Bangor Daily News in Greater Bangor, while the rest are mailed out. From Alton and Bradford to Corinth and Etna to Bucksport and Castine, our coverage area looks a bit like an overgrown tadpole.

To put it simply, the 37 towns that receive The Weekly are: Alton, Argyle, Bangor, Bradford, Bradley, Brewer, Bucksport, Carmel, Castine, Clifton, Corinth, Costigan, Dedham, Dixmont, Eddington, Etna, Frankfort, Glenburn, Greenfield, Hampden, Hermon, Holden, Hudson, Kenduskeag, Levant, Milford, Newburgh, Olamon, Old Town, Orland, Orono, Orrington, Penobscot, Stetson, Veazie, Verona, Winterport.
